A product development and sourcing firm
United Mercantile & Trading is a product development and sourcing firm. We exist to do the difficult, unglamorous work that stands between a good product and a successful one: finding the right factory, holding the line on quality, building listings that convert, and getting products in front of the people who will buy them.
We built the company around the entire value chain rather than a single slice of it. Concept, design, manufacturing, fulfillment, sales, marketing: we operate all of it. That structure is deliberate. It's what lets us help a first-time inventor, a stuck seller, and a brand that needs a manufacturer, all without handing anyone off mid-process.

A few principles run through everything we do. We tell you what we actually think, including what won't work and why, because clear assessment is more useful than easy reassurance. We're explicit about how the work gets done at each step, so you're never in the dark. And whether we're sourcing for a fee, advising on a product, or partnering on a build, we structure the arrangement so that what's good for you is good for us. When something goes wrong, we deal with it rather than talk around it.
What we believe
Most products fail in execution, not in the idea
Most products don't fail because the idea was bad. They fail somewhere in the long chain of execution between the idea and the customer: a factory that cut a corner, a listing that didn't convert, or a good launch that nobody saw. We built this company to take that chain seriously, one link at a time.
